So here goes, 3.30 pm on the 27 February 2018 I have decided to make Focaccia by Paul Hollywood. I search through the Breads section and lo and behold, there is no Focaccia!! (I saw it on the programme…its not in the book!! Woops) Not to be deterred, I will make Ciabatta. No, hang on, I don’t have a free-standing electric mixer!! Looks like I will have to go shopping before attempting that one. So, onto the Cheat’s Sourdough, that looks easy, I’ve got the ingredients, but hang on a minute, “Mix well…and leave on the worktop for 24 hours). Never mind, “Just do it.” I search for my yeast and lo and behold it has expired in August 2017!!! I’m getting off to a rough start but hey, all good things take time.
I check out the pudding recipes and find the perfect one for me – “Blueberry and Lemon Bread Pudding” (p.282) I don’t get to make bread but I get to cook with it instead!.  I do happen to have eggs and stale bread in the house, (just enough, 4 slices!) and a lemon on the tree. Yay. My cooking dream can start and away I go. Its finished now sitting on the bench, soaking up the goodness of the eggs, sugar and cream, waiting to cook tonight for dessert.

It was a delicious desert, cooked to perfection.
